You won't want to miss this fun-filled day! First off, PCM is sponsoring "Lola's Lake Cleanup" from 9 a.m. to noon. We will supply trash bags and gloves to anyone who wants to help, and we'll feed you lunch afterward. Then, don’t miss a chance to have your boat blessed for the season. Blessing will take place at 2 p.m. on the lake. (Time and location subject to change based on weather.) Join us afterward at the Lake Bums Brew Co. for live music starting at 4 p.m. and a fish fry fundraiser ($10/plate) starting around 5 p.m. Proceeds from the fish fry go to the Pontiac Firework Fund. Buy a commemorative Blessing of the Fleet T-shirt and help us raise money for the Pontiac Fireworks (this year scheduled for July 5). We hope to see you there!
Join us for the Sixth Annual 5K and Fun Run/Walk. This event is for everyone! You can run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles). There is also a 1-mile loop if you choose not to do the full 5K route. There are options for everyone. Babies in strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome. All kids 12 and under will receive a medal and goodie bag! Refreshments will be provided for all participants, and prizes and awards for the winners will be handed out after the race. The event begins at 8 a.m.

Prizes and awards will be handed out on the deck at Just Jackie’s after the weigh-in. All divers and their families are welcome to attend.
Don’t miss the BEST fireworks display on Bull Shoals Lake. The show begins at dark (around 9:15 or so), but join us as early as 6:00 that evening as we celebrate Independence Day! The kitchen at Just Jackie’s will close early, but food vendors will be set up in the park prior to the show. The fireworks can be viewed from the lake or the shoreline around Pontiac Cove.
Join us for the annual Pontiac Chili Cook-off on Jan. 26. Anyone can enter, and all types, varieties, and heat levels are welcome. Please deliver chili warm/hot and ready to serve in a slow cooker or warmer with a serving utensil and an extension cord by 12:30 p.m. Taste all the chili you can handle for just $10, and then vote for your favorites. We’ll also be auctioning off baked goods. Donations are welcome and needed. Proceeds go to the Pontiac Firework Fund. Tasting and music will begin at 1:00. Chili will be served until it’s gone! Winners will be announced at 4:00, and dessert auction will begin after that. NOTE: Beverages can be purchased at Just Jackie’s. The kitchen will not be open.
Wings! We love 'em. And we want to find out who can make the BEST wings around. Cactus Ridge Resort is hosting the second annual Pontiac Wing Cook-Off, and we want YOU to enter! Anyone can enter. There is no fee. And everyone is invited to come out and taste all the wings you can handle for just $10 and then vote on your very favorites. Proceeds will go to the Pontiac Fireworks. Anyone entering the contest should deliver a minimum of two dozen wings (more would be better, as we had nearly 100 taste-testers last year) to the Cactus Ridge Cantina between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 25. Please provide a serving utensil for your wings. The Cantina will be serving soft drinks, beer and wine and will host live music during the event. See you there!
