One of the many reasons folks visit Pontiac Cove on Bull Shoals Lake is for the privacy and seclusion it has to offer. However, we're only about 30 miles from a few other destinations we think you'll enjoy while you're staying with us. Check out these day trips.

Looking for a water adventure other than the lake? Pontiac is just 30 miles from the North Fork River, an acclaimed trout fishing stream that offers several float trip options, canoe rentals, lodging, dining and more. Take a day trip to one of the many outfitters along the river, where you can rent canoes, kayaks or rafts, grab lunch, catch a fish and enjoy the scenery and wildlife you’re sure to encounter on a relaxing and fun float down the river.

Ozark County is home to five grist mills that make up a popular daytrip driving tour in our area. Maps are available at the marina store. Take a driving tour of Dawt Mill, Hodgson Mill, Zanoni Mill, Rockbridge Mill and Hammond Mill. Restaurants are located at both Dawt and Rockbridge, so plan to make one of those stops during lunchtime. Be sure to bring a camera, as the mills make great backdrops for photos.
